Freedom's Land
In 1923 the Australian government gave land to ex-servicemen in return for them clearing it and setting up dairy farms. It was a fascinating project - and not always well organised. A perfect setting for a historical novel. The characters and story are fiction, but the background is as accurate as research can make it.
